The first step in this process is for members to contribute their thoughts as to what they would like to see added, removed, relocated, or otherwise changed on the "Welcome" page...

As far as improving we're just at the tip of the iceberg here. I know there's a lot of people that have given ideas on what should be on their welcome page. Now we'd like to get them all in one place so we can implement :-)

NEO, I liked your recent suggestion of adding some posts from members of our own groups to our Welcome pages...

While I wouldn't want them to REPLACE anything that we currently have displaying,
I can see how it could be useful to sponsors to see what their sponsees and other group members are interested in, and promoting.

It could provide insights into how to offer guidance or assistance, allow for the easy investment of a few "bangs of encouragement" to posts within your group, and potentially help open lines of communication and conversation with "shy" group members, by allowing us an opportunity to become familiar with their posts and thus be able to compliment or comment on them or offer encouragement by private message...

Yes that's something I want to do MD and it should be fairly easy code wise.

I would like the column of most recent posts from 3-4 of my favorite categories on my personal welcome page.

I wish there was a way we could post an image and a bio.

What about some color? It's just a tad boring with the blue and white.

friendly reminder here - here is your opportunity to have input NOW which will be implemented in less than a few days. - I'd like to get all ideas in before I formulate a plan for the new welcome page.

NEO, I mentioned this before. There used to be a page that listed the top 40 or so posts. I don't know if it was on the old welcome page but I think it was. I would LOVE to see that added again or found SOMEWHERE on the site. I use to always checked that page to see the "up and coming" posts that weren't in the top 10 YET. More often then not I could find those I thought would make the top ten from this list and then invest. A great way to give an added push to make the strong posts even stronger
AND make a profit.

Now you know one of my secrets ;o)

I would like to see something like a list of new members just joining. As those kinds of lists on a main page tend to bring more members in. Something like 'welcome newest members'.
