I'd like to propose the use of picture boxes as category gateways (dashboard):

The width of the page, each box with a photo (preferred) dipicting the section of the index (if not a photo dipiction then one keyword).

This will make the page visually pleasing and simplify the search process from having to review all 30+ listings in the index. The
person simply looks and the boxes, sees the category of interest and clicks the box to find a sub index listing 1-5 items.

Or replace the index at the bottom of the page and use this method
so it's easier to see the categories rather than having to read the entire list each time to find what's required.

UPDATE:

I have been "cramming" a bit for the new front page with a tutorial on Flash.... I am sorry this is taking so long however I want some thing that is going to truly knock your socks off.

My Goal is to have someone come here. Understand within about 9 seconds what PyraBang is basically about. - Enough to give us an additional 30 seconds or so to completely understand it.

At that point - a prompt to get them to "Press Play" on the video to get it started - all located on the same very small SIMPLE page. - The ALC ticker (currently done in marquee as our current flash pyrawords code has proven incompatible with what I want to do (hence the flash cramming) - So....

Then to top it off a signup box and a free ride in --- (no mention of a price)

We have also been CONSIDERING (<--- please provide input on this thread) making trial members "Readers" and Gold members starting at "Editor" - which means that we would be going back to where trial members can only read the news... and sign up Gold Members to make money.

I would like to hear from any trial members - that started out at trial who went Gold... that would have any objections to this plan.

The overall feeling is that Gold Members are the ones paying for the network - so those should be the only ones allowed to use it.

Your input is desired and requested regardless of you support level for this new plan....
