There are no "sponsored" ads on our network or sale of primary "real estate." Submit your news, product or service to our community for evaluation. You'll find you get more "bang" (pun intended) for your buck than you could with a lengthy contract or large bill. You can even trade in your "bangs" for cash!

Jack posts some information on PyraBang. Jill hosts that information on her website with PyraWords or in her email footer by using Pyramid. A non-member comes along, clicks on the information and visits this page. He then has an option to join PyraBang after viewing the post that was clicked on (Which auto-loads after 10 seconds). Jill makes $12.00 for bringing in a new sponsee and pays Jack 1 bang (1/10 of a cent) for the great post that caused the click!

Now for an in depth study of how the PyraBang Network works...

Circulation

Example: Jack (the originator) invests 10 bangs (1 penny) to post his information, it gets 1010* future views (called allocation) on the network. 80% (or 8 bangs) is added to the value of Jack's post, and can be seen in his information portfolio. When another member clicks on Jack's post that adds one bang to it's value, he can "forward", "tip" or "scrap" the post. He can also invest in it, or if he feels it is somehow inappropriate, he can report Jack's post.

A forward adds one bang to the post's value (which you own) and 169* to it's allocation (or future views). A tip adds 2 bangs to the value and 338* to its allocation. A Scrap subtracts 169 from it's allocation, however does not decrease its value. Once displayed somewhere on the network (an impression or IMP), 1 is subtracted from your post's allocation.

The "secret sauce" - Once your post has been shown somewhere on the network, if it has remaining allocation, it gets back in line to be shown again. If your post is clicked on, it goes to the "front of the line," and is viewed again almost instantly! If a post is popular it rapidly goes viral! if you post important breaking news, our entire membership could see it! If you're selling a worthwhile product, you could make thousands of bangs before anyone actually buys it!

Investing

Investing greatly increases the circulation of information. Investors pay both the originator and PyraBang a 10% commission when they invest. This is why it's a benefit to be the originator of a good idea, or at least the information about it! This is nothing like investing in a stock market however, because aside from a large number of people reporting a post, it cannot lose value, and members can be suspended for frivolously taking action. The amount of an investment is multiplied by 101* and then added to the allocation (future views) of the post.

Example: A post for the water car shows up on a members page. The post has accumulated 750 bangs. He believes the information is valuable, so he decides to invest 250 bangs in the post's circulation. He then owns 25% of that post. 750 (the post's present value) + 250 (his bang investment) = 1000 bangs. 250 bangs is 25% of 1000. 25250, which is the (250 bangs) investment multiplied by 101*, is then added to the post's allocation. This process creates a free market of information, worthless posts expire, high-value posts go viral!

Cashing In. When you cash in a post you pay a 10% commission and are able to convert those bangs back into dollars. There is no charge for bangs to dollars conversion or vice-versa. You can then re-post or re-invest with these same bangs over and over!

Free advertising! Ultimately in many cases this entire process creates a way for you to advertise your news, website, product or service virtually free or even "less than free." With our sponsorship program you are able to make back your membership with one sign-up and a portfolio full of good links, and gives webmasters and email-users an incentive to actually pay you in micropayments to advertise your information. If your information causes a sign-up, the host of your information makes $5.00!

The Ratings System

If a member views a post and forwards it, the post gets 1 positive rating. If the member tips the post it it will get 2 positive ratings. Invest adds 3 positive ratings to the post. Conversely, if a post is viewed and no buttons are pressed, (in which case the member thought it wasn't good enough to forward, yet not bad enough to scrap) the post gets 1 negative rating. If scrap is chosen the post gets 2 negative ratings. A report on the post will result in a negative 3 rating. All negatives and positives for each post are added together and the result is the rating of the post.

Duplicate Posts

One thing that can happen often is for the same information to be posted on many different websites. In that case if enough people take action then all investors in the latter post join the earliest post, and all investments are adjusted accordingly. This minimizes our members from paying twice for the same information, and benefits originators on a "first come, first serve" basis.

Reporting Posts

Members have the option to anonymously take action on a post they feel is inappropriate. If large enough percentage of people take action, the post is "recalled," and all investors lose their investments. The originator pays a fine of the bangs he originally spent to advertise his post. The originator is then subject to a warning or suspension. If any member initiates an excessive amount of action reports he will also be subject to a warning or suspension. When a member submits a report, the post loses a variable amount of allocation depending on what ALC is set at for the day.

Some acceptable reasons for reporting a post could be:

Racial slurs, degradation and outright bigotry.

False advertising - A post has been titled with the obvious intention of making someone click on it, however the information that was linked has absolutely nothing to do with the heading or description.

A copyright violation has occurred by posting information that was not previously in the public domain.

Any reason you feel strongly about with the consideration that reports should not be abused!

You can actually be suspended yourself for making a habit of reporting abuse! (No "report-brigades" allowed)

Members can contact us if they feel they were unfairly suspended. We will make a final decision.

When a ratio (number not available to the public) of reports to views has been breached, the post is removed from the system and a suspension can occur:

Due to our zero tolerance policy with regard to pornography your membership could be terminated immediately!

Compare this method of abuse reporting to that of other communities. The person who reports abusive behavior gets bad feedback in return because the person who was the subject of the abuse report gets to respond! This is why you see almost everyone on other communities with close to a 100% satisfaction rating. With our system, it's completely anonymous, yet foolproof! If a certain percentage of people report abuse the originator is flagged. Likewise if someone compulsively reports abuse their membership can be terminated as well. This weeds out the community of compulsive abusers and compulsive complainers, leaving only people with legitimate purpose as members.
